Bligh Tanner brought specialist transit structure experience to the Northern Busway project as sub-consultant to the Parsons Brinckerhoff Arup consortium.
The project provides a vital linkage between RBWH Station and Kedron via dedicated on-road busways and 1.5km of tunnels.
Bligh Tanner’s responsibilities included structural engineering design of the stations at Kedron and Lutwyche, working with Cottee Parker (architects).
Landscape works along the route including Kedron Brook stabilisation and improvement were designed with Tract Consultants.
This project extends Bligh Tanner’s experience with Brisbane’s Busway, which began at concept design stage in 1997.
