Waltzing Matilda Centre near completion

Bligh Tanner’s structural engineers have been working closely with Cox Architecture on the restoration of the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton.

The $22M centre, which will house an exhibition space, visitor information centre, gift shop, art gallery and cafe, will give a new lease on life for the town, after the previous centre was destroyed in a blaze two years ago. The new design is fluid, complex and highly architectural with virtually no straight lines.

The structure is close to completion with finishing trades commencing work and the centre anticipated to reopen in time to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2018
