Pimpama Coomera Waterfuture Master Plan
Client: Gold Coast Water
Project Manager: Gold Coast Water
Location: Gold Coast, Queensland
- Winner: Global grand prize and Australia-South East Asia Regional Prize for Planning, International Water Association Project Innovation Awards 2006.
- Master Plan aims to reduce the demand for drinking water by nearly 85%, using rainwater, recycled water and water conservation to supply the community's initiatives.
- Reductions in wastewater flows achieved using reduced infiltration gravity sewers (RIGS).
- Water-sensitive urban stormwater design minimises runoff rates and improves runoff quality into local waterways.

Queensland Draft Guidelines for Decentralised Wastewater Systems

- A reference document for local authorities, developers and communities throughout Queensland
- Guidelines for the planning, design, implementation, management and communication of decentralised wastewater collection, treatment and reuse schemes.
- Bligh Tanner ran information workshops on behalf of EPA for industry and stakeholders.
- Guidelines apply to development plans for 21-1000 EP - the first guidelines ever developed for this size of project.
- Bligh Tanner conceptualised, prepared and wrote the guidelines.
