Steph Brown is a civil and water engineer at Bligh Tanner. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015 and is passionate about the field of water and environmental engineering and sustainable development. During her career, Steph hopes to have close collaboration between engineers, architects and planning and policy makers to achieve broader social and environmental outcomes. Her areas of specialisation include water sensitive urban design, environment and waterway management.
Steph is proactive in researching and applying current and emerging practices and technologies in environmental engineering. Her experience has given her knowledge of the planning and development system, and she enjoys using this knowledge to solve complex engineering problems. Steph has a strong aptitude for learning and technical skills in several software packages, helping her to visually communicate solutions to clients.
Steph enjoys participating in industry events, such as the QUT Hypothetical on the 2036 Brisbane River Flood, and the 2nd Water Sensitive Cities Conference 2015.
